inspiration behind the drop:
The inspiration for these pieces comes from moments of familiarity; moments that seem to come from another lifetime, in another dimension. Specific feelings and visions that are a part of me in some way. Moments and spaces that I can’t quite put words to. But I find them very calming. They connect me to an energy that no longer exists in this realm. We are in different dimensions but always together.
And these spaces in my mind act as portals for our energy to reunite. Dark, empty spaces that go on forever. Liminal spaces comfort me in a way I cannot explain. These spaces are void of people, money, rules. Empty and free. Like a glitch in our world. A place where I can finally find peace.
These pieces reflect the contrast of the safe spaces in my mind and the physical world. Both can feel dark and lonely, but I cannot seem to find the same peace and comfort outside of my mind; only crowded ladders that lead to a place I’ve been told to visit. I don’t want to go there. I return to the hallway of emptiness and peace that lives in my mind.
